'One-Punch Man' Episode 9 Spoilers: Cyborg Genos Continues Fight With Deep Sea King, Becomes Seriously Injured
The anime series titled "One-Punch Man" has just concluded its eighth episode of the 12-episode series. According to a report in Yibada, the eighth episode introduced several new heroes who are presumably part of the Heroes Association where the main protagonist Saitama and his disciple, the Cyborg Genos, are members. The eighth episode, which was titled "The Deep Sea King," also introduced a formidable opponent for the heroes, the Deep Sea King.
The Yibada report recapped that the story of the Deep Sea King started in the recently concluded episode 8. This follows the events of episode 7 where Genos defends his master Saitama after he ends up being blamed for destroying City Z by some lower ranked heroes. According to the same report, the story arc of the Deep Sea King will be ending in episode 9 titled "Unyielding Justice."
Among the interesting new heroes who were introduced in episode 8, the report noted one hero named Pri-Pri-Prisoner who is described as "hilarious."
Episode 9, as earlier mentioned, will bring to a close the story of the Deep Sea King. According to another Yibada report, the manga series offered possible spoilers for the upcoming episode. It said that in the manga series, the Cyborg Genos continues the fight against the Deep Sea King, who is out to kill people at the evacuation area. During the fight, the Deep Sea King rips Genos' right arm after Genos punches him. Genos then tells the people at the evacuation area to escape while he distracts the Deep Sea King.
The Deep Sea King and Genos continue to fight, and then a little girl who is part of the escaping group of people shouts some encouraging words to Genos. This angered the Deep Sea King and he spit at the little girl. Because his spit is acidic, Genos saved the little girl from being injured by coming in between the girl and the Deep Sea King. The acidic spit caused further injury on him. Fans will find out if he will survive the fight when they watch the next episode.
The anime series is based on the manga of the same title, written by an author who goes by the pseudonym One. It began broadcast in October 2015 and will run for 12 episodes. Episode 9 airs on November 30 on TV Tokyo.
