OnePlus Two Rumors, Release Date: Pricing Could Be as Low as $400
By this time last year, the OnePlus One was making its way to the market with impressive marketing pitches and campaigns. It greatly helped the startup manufacturer that the device did not only boast high-end specs, but also a very affordable price tag.
However, a few months later and most of the people interested in it would still find it very difficult to get their hands on the Android "flagship killer."
As a result, OnePlus failed to reach its target sales for the end of 2014.
Hopefully, the new OnePlus Two device will hit more markets soon, allowing more people to buy the handset.
So what do we know about the new Android "flagship killer"?
According to a report by GSM Arena, a OnePlus executive hinted that the smartphone's price tag could be as cheap as CNY 2,499 or about $400.
In the report, OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu asked the manufacturer's followers through his Weibo account how much they expect the OnePlus Two to be priced given that it boasts the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset.
As expected, the CEO received a few replies, but he later posted: "2499 Yuan seems to be a reasonable price."
While this is still not a confirmation, it should give Android fans an idea how much the device would cost.
Based on rumors, the Chinese manufacturer will not only release the OnePlus Two, but also another midranger device by the end of the year.
