'Orange Is the New Black' News: Renewed for Three More Seasons
With "Orange Is the New Black" expected to continue for another three seasons, fans are hoping that the series will be able to keep fans interested.
It was recently reported that fans will get a chance to see their favorite characters for the next three years. The creator of the series, Jenji Kohan, recently spoke about her excitement for the seasons of come. She also promised fans that she and her team will do their best to keep the series interesting.
According to a statement by Netflix, she stated, "Not quite a political term, but still plenty of time to do some interesting things. In some cultures, 'May you lead an interesting life,' is a curse, but I don't live in those cultures. Here's to keeping it interesting. Thanks Netflix! Both thanks and you're welcome Lionsgate!"
She also thanked the cast of the series, as well as the crew, writers, editors, and musicians involved. In addition, Netflix also commended Kohan on her work with "Orange Is the New Black." The Vice President of Content for Netflix, Cindy Holland, expressed her sentiments regarding Kohan and her team.
Holland stated, "Jenji and her team have produced a phenomenal and impactful series that is both funny and dramatic, outrageous and heartfelt. Audiences around the world have come to love the ladies and men of Orange is the New Black, and we are eager to see where three more seasons will take them."
As for the plot of the series, season 4 of "Orange Is the New Black" is expected to continue from the events of season 3. With that, fans can expect to learn about the fate of Laura Prepon's character, who was last seen attacked in the greenhouse.
"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 will premiere on Netflix this June 17.
