'Outlander' Season 2 News: Aristocracy at Its Finest
The upcoming season of "Outlander" promises nothing but exciting scenes and adventures as Jamie and Claire embark on a journey that seeks to infiltrate the French system.
Starz has recently released the official trailer that depicts a few details of what fans will see in the second season. The Jacobite rebellion is taking its toll on the people and the battle of Culloden is also heating up. Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will arrive in France in hopes of getting peace for their domain.
According to Variety, Book Two of Diana Gabaldon's best-selling series will entail the two's adventures into the aristocratic world of France in the 1700s. Jared (Robert Cavanah) is a local wine merchant who will help the couple get inside the luxurious parties where splurging is no sin.
The outlet hints that season 2 may see the couple facing struggles and issues that would likely put their relationship on the edge. While their love for each other is stronger than the challenges of making a change for their people, the issues they will be faced with will prove how difficult the task at hand is.
With the leadership of Prince Charles Stuart (Andrew Gower), the Scottish people are facing the possibility of extinction. Fans will have to wait and see if Jamie and Claire will be able to stop the uprising that could end their race forever.
Aside from the pains of putting the pieces together for their country, a baby is on the way, which could make Claire's travail even more strenuous. Frank (Tobias Menzies) is another problem that Claire might have to deal with in the upcoming season. He is waiting on the other side, but Claire has already vowed a happily ever after with Jamie.
To find out how Jamie and Claire will face their fate, watch "Outlander" season 2 on Starz, which is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, April 9 at 9 p.m.
