Panasonic Launched Lumix DMC-CM10, Comes With Android Lollipop, 20MP, 2 GB of RAM

Japanese tech company Panasonic recently launched a new device dubbed as the Lumix DMC-CM10. According to Ubergizmo, fans who would see the new device would think it's the camera-smartphone Lumix CM1 that was released last year. They are technically right because the Lumix CM10 is not really different from the previous model except for a few details.

The only notable difference of the new model is that it has no phone functionality, which means it does not have any voice calling features. Other than that, the Lumix CM10 is equipped with the same specs and design as its predecessor.

As detailed in Geeky Gadgets, the device, which is similar in size to a smartphone, comes with a 4.7-inch screen on the rear. It provides a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and runs with the Android 5.0 Lollipop. In order to run the Android-based operating system, Panasonic has equipped the camera device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor together with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The built-in storage capacity can be expanded further via the microSDXC card reader.

As for the camera specs, Gadgets 360 noted that the device carries a 20-megapixel sensor with a 10mm (28-mm equivalent) f/2.8 Leica DC Elmarit lens. It is also equipped with a mechanical shutter and features a manual control ring so that users can adjust the camera's ISO levels and other functions. Moreover, the device comes with autofocus tracking, manual focus frame moving, manual focus assist, autofocus lock and so much more.

Users can also expect to see the camera powered with the Venus engine, which is a feature usually found in Lumix camera models. 4K video recording support is also available. As for the connectivity options, the device comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and wireless connectivity via the 802.11ac standard. It also has a 4G LTE and 3G cellular connectivity.
