Panasonic P66 Mega Launched In India, Includes 21 Regional Language Support, 5-Inch Display, 2 GB Of RAM
Japanese tech company Panasonic has recently launched their latest model from their P-series smartphone line in India and dubbed it as the P66 Mega. According to The Indian Express, the device will cost Rs 7,990 and is equipped with support for 21 regional languages.
As noted in Tech 2, Pankaj Rana, business head-mobility division of Panasonic India, spoke during the launch of the device. He said, "Digital India is all about bridging the digital divide through technology and connecting people to the digital world in their own language."
"By deploying a multi-language portfolio in our latest device, Panasonic seeks to connect Indians through smartphone technology to the world of opportunities in mobile banking, online shopping, social networking and virtual entertainment," he added.

The device is basically designed to go beyond language barriers and encourage people to talk, type and text in their own native language. As for the specs of the smartphone, Gadgets 360 detailed that it will have a 5-inch HD IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels.
It is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 2 GB of RAM and has 16 GB of built in memory storage that can be expanded further up to 32 GB via microSD card slot. The device also flaunts an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is will run with Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box topped with the Panasonic Icon UI on top.
It will get its light and power from its 3200 mAh battery and will come with connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and dual SIM 3G and 2G. It measures 142.50 x 70.90 x 8.40 (height x width x thickness) and comes with sensors including Proximity sensor and Accelerometer. Business-Standard also noted that the Panasonic P66 Mega renders wide-viewing angles and crystal-clear daylight readability. The color options available include Rose Gold, Electric Blue, and Russet Brown.
