While the Pirates of the Caribbean saga is arguably one of the most successful pirate franchises in movie history, the fourth installment had everything it stands for go down on a slippery slope. Fortunately, it appears that the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" could be what saves the day.
During the CinemaCon 2017 held at the Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 27–30, participants were given a sneak peek to the Disney film. Much to everyone's delight, the latest installment to the seafaring quest is steering into calm yet exciting waters.
Those who were able to catch a glimpse provided generally positive remarks, saying that it is returning to the magic it had. Several of them aired on social media their approval of the upcoming film, and this is a sign that truly, the franchise is set to sail placidly yet with a big bang.

As far as the cast is concerned, it is expected that the original crew is bringing their A-game again, particularly Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and his ally/enemy, Captain Hector Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush). The new characters have also stepped up their game, in which both Javier Bardem (Captain Salazar) and Kaya Scodelario (Carina Smyth) received acclaim from critics.
It can be recalled that out of the first four films, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" had a dismal performance compared with its predecessors, in which its domestic box office didn't even reach the production budget, The Numbers reports. With the fifth film hopefully saving face for the franchise, this may be a chance for a loud culmination.
The upcoming movie brings old and new characters together against probably the toughest enemy Jack will ever face. In the latest trailer, Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) finally appears, so one can expect an exhilarating skirmish on the seas.
