Pitt: 'I Have Few Friends' - Brad Pitt Esquire Interview Focuses on Family Life, Wild Past (VIDEO)
Brad Pitt has said, "I have few friends," but that he enjoys the chaos of his family life instead, according to reports out this week.
Pit was speaking to Esquire magazine, and gave his take on work, family, and his past.
He admitted that he has had a wild past since breaking onto the Hollywood scene, but since meeting Angelina Jolie he has settled into more of a family life, and his wild days are now behind him.
He told Esquire that he has "very few friends," saying: "I have a handful of close friends and I have my family and I haven't known life to be any happier. I'm making things. I just haven't known life to be any happier."
Pitt was known to enjoy the wild lifestyle in his 20s and 30s, but he has since moved on. The actor said, "I always thought that if I wanted to do a family, I wanted to do it big … I wanted there to be chaos in the house … there's constant chatter in our house, whether it's giggling or screaming or crying or banging. I love it. I love it. I love it."
Oppositely when he is away from the chaos of the family he quickly finds himself missing things, "I hate it when they're gone … I hate it. Maybe it's nice to be in a hotel room for a day – 'Oh, nice, I can finally read a paper.' But then, by the next day, I miss that cacophony, all that life."
On his past he explained to the magazine: "I'd get so far and then want to do something else. I mean, I'm two credits short of graduating college. Two credits. All I had to do was write a paper. What kind of guy is that? That guy scares me – the guy who always leaves a little on his plate."
