Players Can Now Capture 1080p Videos Using Xbox One's Game DVR

Xbox One players can now record their gameplay at 1080p resolution.

It looks like Microsoft has finally heard the gamers' cries as they had recently announced the improvement of the Xbox One's Game DVR capture to 1080p. This is great news for all the Xbox One players who like to record their best gaming moments as they can finally now do so at 1080p. The maximum capture resolution for the Game DVR was previously at 720p.

But there's also a catch to this great improvement — players would have to wait until the Xbox One's update this coming fall. However, it is already available to Xbox Insiders who belong to the Alpha Ring. As for the rest, they would have to wait a few more months for them to finally experience recording in 1080p.

But the resolution enhancement isn't the only thing that's coming once the major Xbox One update arrives. Microsoft has also revealed that along with the 1080p resolution, players can now save their recorded gameplay directly to an external hard drive.

Previously, one of the biggest problems players face when it comes to recording and saving their gameplay is that their internal hard drives easily get filled up because external hard drives are only supported for the installation of games and apps. This leaves the system-level features only for the internal drives. But now, players can easily transfer their recorded videos to their PC through the external hard drives.

The Game DVR was first introduced four years ago during the launch of the Xbox One. Now, the feature still remains to be an important aspect of the console.

This improvement isn't only exclusive to the Xbox One. Once the Xbox One X rolls out this November, it will also come bearing these enhancements and the same goes with the Xbox One S.
