12 New Pokemon Up for Grabs

Better save up your candies, folks, because these Pokemon are going to get some serious boost in the new version!

1. Zubat – Crobat

In case you didn't know, the Zubat we've all shrugged off as a nuisance actually evolve into a much powerful Crobat. This is useful because Crobats are known for their high stats.

2. Oddish – Bellosom

Now, players can choose to have their Oddish evolve into either Vileplume or Bellossom.

3. Poliwag – Politoed

Like Bellossom, Politoed is Poliwag's third evolution.

4. Slowpoke – Slowking

This is Slowpoke's majestic final form.

5. Onix – Steelix

From a rock Pokemon, Onix can turn into serious badass steel-type (in case that wasn't obvious enough) Steelix.

6. Hitmontop

Hitmontop is actually a third form of Tyrogue, who isn't really a Gen 1 Pokemon. However, its other forms are Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.

7. Horsea – Kingdra

Like Slowpoke, Horsea's final form is majesty.

8-9. Eevee – Espeon and Umbreon

Everyone's favorite genetic chameleon still has some surprises up its sleeve. It becomes Espeon in its Psychic form, and Umbreon in its Dark form.

10. Porygon 2

Porygon 2 is simply Porygon 1's other form.

11. Chansey – Blissey

Blissey is Chansey's winged third-form evolution.

12. Scizor

While Scizor is arguably more badass looking than its pre-evolution form, Scyther, it has much lower stats. So, just catch a duplicate Scyther before you evolve yours.

While there's no official release date for the Gen 2 version yet, chances are they'll be up next year—which will give plenty of time for players to stock up on their Gen 1 Pokemon counterparts and candies!
