Pokemon X and Y Styled Omega Ruby to Allow Players to Dress-Up Their Characters
The upcoming Pokemon X and Y styled Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games will allow players to dress up their pocket monsters.
Scans taken from a Japanese magazine known a CoroCoro revealed that these Pokemon remakes will have a form of dress-up for the contests included in the original games. See them here.
In the scans, viewers can see Pikachu dressed up in different outfits including one titled "Madam Pikachu" and the other "Hard Rock Pikachu." They also show the character in what is said to be Pokemon Amie, a feature introduced in Pokemon X and Y that allows players to interact with their pocket monsters.
The new games will also feature Secret bases and the StreetPass function.
Secret bases will function as customizable spaces where players will be able to set up mazes, traps and battle rules. They'll be able to share them with other Pokemon trainers using 3DS StreetPass or QR code.
Players will be able to encounter other trainers at these Secret Bases and invite them to become Secret Pals. The Pals can interact, battle and receive support during their adventures with one another. They will also have special skills to use that include the sharing of decorations or making Pokemon Eggs hatch faster. With more Secret Pals, players will have access to even more skills.
StreetPass will bring new communication features to the series.
The Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions for the 3DS were first announced for a November launch a few months ago. The company also released a trailer for the games.
"Announcing Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems! Prepare for an epic adventure exploring a world filled with Pokemon!" wrote the company.
Nintendo went on to explain the origins of the Ruby and Sapphire versions.
"Pokemon fans first enjoyed Pokemon Ruby Version and Pokemon Sapphire Version when it launched in 2004 for the Game Boy Advance. Now a whole new generation of Pokemon fans will experience the dramatic storyline that unfolds in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire," the statement read.
