Pope Francis Picks Up Hitchhiker in the Popemobile (VIDEO)
"Man in Car Picks Up Hitchhiker Friend" doesn't sound like a newsworthy story.
But the hitchhiker is a Catholic priest from Argentina.
Go on.
And the man is Pope Francis, and the car is the Popemobile!
Now let's talk.
As Pope Francis cruised the crowd in St. Peter's Square on Wednesday, he spotted Rev. Fabian Baez from his old Archdiocese of Buenos Aires. His Holiness invited his friend out of the masses to take a seat in back of the Popemobile, and the devout duo made their way to the dais.
After Rev. Baez took a seat of honor, the Pope spoke to the crowd, encouraging them to remember when they received the sacrament of baptism.
