Poway Accident: Teen Dies in Collision With Fire Truck (VIDEO)
A Poway accident has killed a 19 year old girl in a road crash between a car and a fire truck.
The crash took place on Thursday morning near San Diego and involved a red Honda, which was being driven by 44 year old Robbie Gillespie. The Honda hit a fire truck that had a crew of three paramedics and firefighters traveling in it on the way to an emergency.
According to authorities, Gillespie had been released on jail on bond just 48 hours prior to the crash taking place.

San Diego Sheriff's Department has reported that Gillespie was currently in trouble and had been arrested for being under the influence of drugs and alcohol, as well as possession of drugs and possession of paraphernalia.
The 19 year old victim that died in the crash was a passenger in Gillespie's car. She has been identified as aspiring model, 19 year old Evelyn Courtney. It is reported that she died after being trapped under the Honda in the collision.
Gillespie meanwhile was rushed to hospital for medical treatment, and is currently being treated for non life threatening injuries.
Investigators are still working on the incident, but have reported that they found a broken alcohol bottle inside Gillespie's car at the scene. However, they clarified that they have not yet determined whether alcohol or drugs played any kind of part in the crash.
Devastated friends and co-workers of the teenage victim held a candlelight vigil this week to remember their friend, who has been described as a bright and generous person who had a promising future ahead of her.
According to NBC News, the victim's brother, Jonathan, has said, "Her smile; I'm going to miss her smile the most. She almost always had a smile on her face."
Authorities have said that the car broadsided the fire truck and that the emergency vehicle, which had its lights and sirens going, had the right of way in the crash.
No charges have yet been filed in relation to the incident, although investigations are still ongoing.
