'Prison Break' Season 5 News: How Will Show Bring Michael Back From The Dead?

With the television drama series "Prison Break" set to return to the small screen in March 2016, speculations especially among fans of the series have begun as to how the show will continue the story of the two brothers when one of the brothers, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) ends up dead in the final episode of Season 4.

According to a report in Inquisitr, the show's return may likely bring back the on-screen chemistry of the show's main characters, Scofield and Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) as well.

The report quoted Callies saying that she was willing to reprise her role. She also confirmed that talks are already ongoing for her return, and her comeback would depend on what the story looks like and how faithful it is to how the show developed in the past. She said, "I want to do something because there is more story to tell."

The couple's story and their struggles were an important part of the show's overall theme. In the final episode of Season 4, Sara was seen as a widow, taking care of Michael's child, Michael Jr.

Michael, through a DVD, explained to Sara why he sacrificed himself in order to save her. He also asked Sara and his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) to "make sure his child wouldn't feel alone."

In Season 4, Michael was shown to have died from electrocution while getting his wife out of prison. He was also said to have been suffering from a deadly brain tumor.

While rumors are flying around about how Michael may have faked his own death in order for it to be plausible that he is still alive and will return for Season 5, FOX Chairman Gary Newman promised that everything would be explained in the coming season.

According to a report in IGN, Newman said that what creator Paul Scheuring came up with was "very logical and believable." He also revealed that the show will be a "bit of a sequel" which looks at the lives of the characters several years after the events of the previous season.

Actors Miller and Purcell are already confirmed to return. No information about other cast members have been shared so far.

The show will return for a limited 10-episode run in March.
