'Prison Break' Season 5 Set to Come Out This Year; Release Date, Cast and What to Expect

Though a specific date has not been set yet for the release of the hit series "Prison Break," it definitely is back. Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell reunite in this sequel with a new adventure that has the same thrill and action.

Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is said to be arrested again and needs help breaking out. This time, his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) is out to rescue him. The roles switch since it was Lincoln who was rescued by Michael from the previous Prison Break season which happened to be the greatest escape ever. It also showed Michael to be dead, however in the new season, Michael may be alive and Lincoln will look for him.

Actors for the TV show include Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstien, who were part of the original cast of the series from 2005-2009. Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), T-bag (Robert Knepper) and C-note (Rockmond Dunbar), are back in the series with more adventure. The original cast reunites in the series.

What To Expect In This Season

"Prison Break" has been known for its story which focuses on the intense escape from prison. As the previous series' has been action-packed and full of twists, the sequel is expected to offer viewers more. The full story still evolves on Michael, just like the first ones, but this time, his wife Sarah (Sarah Wayne Callies) is part of the whole adventure.

The story continues with the same cast and has promised to give more to what was already seen. "Prison Break" Season 5 is set to be released on September 2016. This is a Century Fox Production and is directed by Nelson McCormick. The series is written by Paul T. Scheuring and the executive producers include, Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein, Dawn Olmstead, Vaun Wilmott and Michael Horowitz.

 Miller and Purcell have a certain chemistry as brothers in doing the series. Both have been doing other activities and have been busy since the last Prison Break series. Miller has been into several movies after that, he even wrote a script for Park Chan-wook's English-language debut thriller film entitled Stoker, a few years ago. Purcell also has appeared in several small shows and always has the role of the gruff tough guy.

Both are ready to hit the TV screens again with this reunion on Prison Break 5.
