Quvenzhane Wallis, the 10-year-old "Beasts of the Southern Wild" actress, has been named the new face of the Armani Junior campaign. The talented girl is now the first major child star to be the face of a luxury brand in addition to being the youngest ever Oscar-nominated actress.
Quevenzhane Wallis will be featured in ad, the first of which was revealed Thursday. The young African-American actress sports her curly afro and a smart black satin suit over a white dress blouse. She also wears shiny leather flats and comes accessorized with a small puppy.

"Quvenzhané is so talented, despite her young age," Giorgio Armani said in a press release. "Her kindness, curiosity and openness towards others really struck me, as they are all traits I admire. It is for this very reason that I wanted her to be the face of Armani Junior."
"With her insatiable energy, Quvenzhané made the clothing come alive, interpreting it in her own singular way," the designer added.
Wallis, who stunned in her blue Armani gown on the red carpet for the Academy Awards last year, said she is very excited to wear the luxury clothes from the prestigious designer.
"I'm so happy to be chosen by Mr. Armani to be his ambassador for Armani Junior. I felt the same excitement when I got cast for a major film. Me? Wow!" Wallis said in the release. "It's fun to wear Armani Junior since I really like the clothes. It's young. It's cool. My friends are going to want to borrow all my clothes."
In the past she has been equally excited about Armani, saying the designer was a "nice man" and that the custom-fitted gown made her feel "like a princess."
The Armani ads featuring Quvenzhane will debut worldwide next month.
