'Rainbow Six Siege' News: Mid-Season Reinforcements Patch to Include Updates on Kapkan's Weaponry, Other Fixes

A new "Mid-Season Reinforcements" patch for "Rainbow Six Siege" has brought updates to Kapkan's weaponry and other new several fixes.

Ubisoft released a mid-season patch for Tom Clancy's "Rainbow Six Siege," bringing a whole new update to Kapkan's weapons, along with several other fixes for Blitz, Ela, and other issues in the game.

According to the update, Kapkan now has five entry denial devices, each having the ability to deal 60 damage, as well as being harder for players to locate in the game.

Kapkan's trip laser will completely fade that it becomes undetectable after deployment. Aside from that, Kapan's traps have also been enhanced, giving the character a boost in speed. Kapkan is now a two-speed Operator, which makes him better at being a Defender.

The update on Kapkan's devices is a way to encourage "Rainbow Six Siege" players to find new strategies, especially because they have grown accustomed to spotting his trip lasers.

Meanwhile, Blitz now has the ability to run with an extended shield. This addresses the character's greatest weakness, which is being completely vulnerable while sprinting.

On the other hand, Ubisoft brought Ela's stats lower because her win rate was too high compared to other Operators. Ela is now down to using three Grzmot Mines instead of four.

Also, the developers adjusted Ela's Scorpio EVO 3 A1 SMG because it was too strong. The speed to reach maximum recoil has been increased, which means that Ela will experience a stronger force from the maximum recoil, making it difficult to control.

Ubisoft also added several network improvements, such as hit validation, latency alignment, pawn-to-pawn physics, and others, according to Gamespot.

A list of main bug fixes can also be found on the official post so players can identify if there will be an improvement in the gaming experience.

"Rainbow Six Siege" and the new "Mid-Season Reinforcements" patch is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
