'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' News: Yolanda Foster on Her Struggle with Lyme Disease
"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" (RHOBH) star Yolanda Foster has been battling Lyme disease since 2012 and an episode in season 6 of the reality show has featured a treatment session for her condition.
Since "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme disease three years ago, her body has struggled to stay on top of the condition. Episode 2 of season 6 shows the former supermodel undergoing an unconventional treatment for her condition.
The focus of the RHOBH season 6 trailer is on Foster's Lyme disease diagnosis. During the season premiere, the reality star explored their treatment options and decided that removing the white gold caps on her teeth could help decrease the level of heavy metals in her blood. Her estranged husband David Foster stayed by her side during the whole procedure, the report details.
Meanwhile, Yolanda has opened up about her struggles with Lyme disease after announcing her separation from David. Her statement comes as a response to her co-stars' questioning of her illness and chosen methods of treatment, Star Pulse reports
Yolanda specifically struck back at Lisa Vanderpump's statement which conveyed doubt about the Lyme disease diagnosis. After seeing the latest episode of RHOBH, Yolanda said she was surprised about her co-star's reaction but does not expect anyone to fully comprehend a disease as complex as hers.
"The fact is my challenges are multi-faceted… I don't expect anyone to understand a disease so complex," Star Pulse quotes Yolanda's statement. "I've been immersed in discovery 101--finding my way back to health."
In light of her impending divorce, Yolanda explained that infidelity, financial issues, and even the sale of their Malibu mansion were not factors in the divorce. She admitted that she is just human, just like everyone else. The reality star expressed her hopes to uphold the mutual respect between her and David and have enough strength to focus on her health and children.
Yolanda Foster's two children are also dealing with Lyme disease. Because of this, the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" wants to dedicate her life to finding a legitimate cure for the disease.
