'Real Housewives' Tamra Barney Slams Gretchen Rossi: 'She Can't Sing'

"Real Housewives of Orange County" stars Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi appear to be on the outs again two years after putting an end to their bitter feud.

Barney, who is no stranger to drama, recently made bizarre comments about Rossi's vocals which ultimately did not sit well with the handbag designer and aspiring singer. The 44-year-old outspoken reality star ridiculed her on-off "BFF" by suggesting that she cannot sing.

During an interview with allabouttrh.com Barney was asked which of the "Housewives" is her favorite singer. Rossi has been trying to establish her singing career for several years.

"None! They all suck!" Barney sniped. When asked whether the statement included Rossi she unapologetically explained "Yes! Have you heard her sing? Are you going to argue with me? No Housewives should sing! I think the only one that kind of has a voice is that Melissa Gorga ….. Kind of."

As expected Rossi, 35, took offense to the catty comment and immediately confronted Barney about the matter. She admitted that Barney's insult was left field.

"When I asked [Tamra] about it she texted me it was all BS and you guys completely manipulated the story, but then you guys said you have voice recordings of her saying this about me, so as anyone would feel, sometimes it's hard to know what the truth is," Rossi said.

"However as a friend I want to give her the benefit, so I have to believe her," Rossi continued.

"With that said you asked if what was said was hurtful, and the truth is if she did say it, of course it is. How could it not be, that is why I immediately reached out to her and asked why would she say those things?

Rossi's comments prompted a reaction from Barney, who blasted the reality star for her handling of the situation. Barney accused Rossi of running to the press before approaching her directly.

"I thought the way Gretchen handled the situation was wrong. She ran to the press with an overly dramatic statement, she should have talked to me first," Barney said.

Rossi expressed disappointment in Barney, who she suggested is not a supportive friend.

"All I know is that I have been nothing but supportive about her business endeavors, her personal life, and protective over people taking away from special moments in her life," Rossi said.

Barney insisted that while Rossi was hurt by the comment, it was never said to upset her.

"I never meant to hurt her feelings," Barney said. "I haven't talked to her since it all went down last week, but I plan on talking to her in person like an adult."
