Director Paul W.S. Anderson and lead actress Milla Jovovich have consistently reiterated that "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is really the last chapter of the installment.

"This is really Alice's story coming full circle and it's the biggest and the best," Jovovich said during a previous interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

However, this does not rule out the possibility that the franchise could go on under a new set of cast and production.

Aside from its availability in 4K Ultra HD display, the DVD/Blu-ray version for "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" also comes with several bonuses, including two featurettes titled "Explore the Hive" and "The Badass Trinity & The Women of Resident Evil."

Another featurette will also talk about the stunts and weapons used in the film, plus a commentary from director Anderson and Jovovich, and a sneak peek of the upcoming "Resident Evil: Vendetta," a 3D animated film slated for a 2017 release.

"Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" also cast stars Iain Glen ("Game of Thrones"), Ali Larter ("Heroes"), Shawn Roberts ("Edge of Darkness") and Ruby Rose ("John Wick: Chapter 2") among others.

The premise of the film revolves around Albert Wesker's (Roberts) betrayal towards Alice (Jovovich) and her friends. Albert gathers the Umbrella Corporation in an effort to execute a final strike among the survivors of the apocalypse (including Alice) that happened in the previous installment.
