Rob Kardashian Fighting Battery, Theft Charges, Pleads 'Not Guilty'

Rob Kardashian reportedly pled not guilty to battery and petty theft charges stemming from an incident involving a paparazzi photographer in March.

The reality TV star, who is the brother of Kim Kardashian, appeared in a Beverly Hills court for a brief hearing Wednesday where he entered his plea. The 26-year-old was allegedly charged with the two misdemeanor counts on Friday, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Prosecutors reportedly asked Los Angeles Judge Marsha Revel to set Kardashian's bail at $21,000, but she let him go on his own recognizance.

Kassandra Perez (nee Andra Vaik) claims she was approached by Kardashian after snapping pictures of the E! reality star as he left a West Hollywood gym. He is accused of losing his cool when Vaik took shirtless pictures of him.

"While this case is still in the preliminary stage, it is clear from our investigation that Robert Kardashian's violent behavior and his use of force towards Ms. Vaik was completely unjustified," attorneys for Vaik previously told TMZ.

Kardashian allegedly snatched the memory card from Vaik's camera and took off with an estimated $30,000 collection of photos of celebrities to prevent the photos from being released. Sources close to the reality star allege Vaik had trespassed onto private property at the time of incident.

Pre-trial proceedings will reportedly begin on Wednesday, May 29, but experts say the case is unlikely to go to trial.

This is not the first time that Kardashian, who is an aspiring sock designer, has faced legal woes over a run-in with paparazzi.

In 2012 he was handcuffed and detained by Miami police after having an argument with ex-girlfriend Rita Ora. Kardashian was accused of threatening a paparazzi photographer.

"He's attacking me! He chased me ... he tried to kill me, he almost killed me! You're crazy!" the unidentified photographer was heard yelling in video footage taken from the incident.
