Rob Lowe Invites Firefighters Over to His Home for Dinner to Thank Them for Saving His Home

Rob Lowe is definitely in the Christmas spirit as she shows his gratitude for the firefighters who helped save his home from the wildfire.

The Thomas Fire is now known as one of the largest wildfires in the history of California and still continues to ravage the state to this day. Several homes and structures have already been affected by the wildfire, but thankfully, there are firefighters who continue to work against the deadly fires to protect the people in the area. Among those who were saved by the selfless firefighters is actor Rob Lowe, and just recently, he thanked his saviors by treating them to a wonderful dinner in his home.

Taking to Instagram, the 53-year-old revealed he had invited several firefighters over to his home for them to break bread together, preparing home-cooked meals for them.

"Dinner for new friends at our house," Lowe said in his post's caption. The firefighters also thanked the firefighters in an earlier post saying, "Thank you to all the crews from all over the country who stood tall and saved my town. #respect #gratitude."

During the dinner, the firefighters got to feast on pasta, cheeseburgers and salad, among many others before they went out again into the dangerous fields of fire.

Currently, the Thomas Fire has burned about 269,000 acres in the southeastern part of California and Rob Lowe is just one of many who have been affected by the wildfire. Not far from Lowe's Montecito home is renowned television personality Oprah Winfrey who recently revealed she had evacuated from her home which was dubbed as the "Promised Land."

Other celebrities who were forced to evacuate their homes are Ellen Degeneres, Beyonce and Jay-Z, Katy Perry's parents, Paris Hilton and Lea Michele.

For Rob Lowe, the wildfire came very close to their backyard but thankfully, firefighters with help from the actor and his family were able to contain the fire before any damage could be done.
