'Rocket League' Update: Game Lands On Xbox One Soon; 'Rocket Labs' Mode Coming

It's going to be celebration for all Xbox One players. Physics-based vehicle soccer video game "Rocket League" is arriving to the platform soon. According to Segment Next, developer Psyonix confirmed that the game will be hitting Xbox One platforms this month already.

This was revealed after a fan asked on social networking website Twitter when the game will be released. Psyonix answered that the game was already going through certification and that they are aiming for a "mid-February" release window. However, it was not detailed yet on when the game will specifically arrive. But the game is coming and fans know that it's going to be worth the wait.

As to what Xbox One version will be like, Christian Today detailed that it would be very similar to the current available versions. There will be some changes though like the addition of contents which are exclusive to the platform. It is hinted that the new content added will be items that have been inspired from some of the console's most successful franchises like "Halo" and "Gears of War."

The "Rocket League" Xbox One version will also be bundled together with some of the expansions that were already released such as the "Chaos Run," "Supersonic Fury," and "Revenge of the Battle-Cars."

In the meantime, the game is going to get a February update. As detailed by PlayStation Lifestyle, the game will be getting the "Rocket Labs" mode which allows players to test the prototype arena layouts. Each of them will also be featuring a virtual reality-inspired appearance.

PC Gamer noted that the first three maps in the playlist are called Utopia Retro, Underpass and Double Goal. The first one is a circular map from "Rocket League" progenitor Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle cars. The Underpass comes with different sloped sizes for wild aerial play and the last one, Double Goal, has two openings for each team's goals. More maps are expected to come.
