'Salvation' Season 1 Finale Episode Spoilers: Will Grace Die by Claire's Hands? Does Darius Finally Know That He Can't Board the Ark?

Viewers of the CBS show "Salvation" are in for an explosive season 1 finale.

On the penultimate episode of the show titled "The Wormwood Prophecy," it was revealed that President Mackenzie is, in fact, alive, and now, Darius (Santiago Cabrera), Grace (Jennifer Finnigan) and Harris (Ian Anthony Dale) must stop the false new government led by Bennett (Sasha Roiz) and that he was the one behind the assassination attempt on President Mackenzie.

Episode 12 opened with Dr. Michele Rasmussen (Tara Nicodemo) revealing in a press conference that Pres. Mackenzie has died due to natural causes (a stroke). Harris, however, was not convinced that the president died of a stroke, and because of this, he, along with Darius, Grace and her father, Hugh (Mark Moses), dig up Pres. Mackenzie's grave only to be greeted by an empty casket.

Afterwards, Harris finds out that the president is still alive and is currently being treated in a nuclear fallout shelter. It was also there that Dr. Rasmussen would reveal that the president's stroke was caused by mercury added to her asthma inhaler. With this news, Harris becomes keen on telling the world about Pres. Mackenzie's survival, but Grant (Dean Armstrong) didn't think that doing so would be such a great idea. He proposed that Harris first find the person behind the president's assassination attempt and then prove it.

In the trailer released for episode 13 of "Salvation," Claire (Erica Luttrell), the chief of staff for Bennett's new government, was shown holding a gun towards Grace, but it was not shown whether she pulled the trigger. Harris has long suspected that Claire is part of the movement against Pres. Mackenzie.

Darius is also seen making final plans for the "Salvation" ark. However, it doesn't show whether he is already aware of his genetic testing failure that inevitably disqualifies him from getting aboard Salvation.
