Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini Leaked Online

Rumors about a mini version of the Samsung Galaxy S6, dubbed the Galaxy S6 Mini, started as early as July of this year, when live images of the device were shared online. Aside from the images, no other spec details have been leaked.

Recently, an e-commerce site may have inadvertently revealed the device even before it was officially announced by Samsung, according to a report on Gadgets 360.

The listing appeared on the e-commerce site Letstango, showing photos as well as the technical specs of the upcoming device. However, it has been taken down from the site, perhaps because it may pre-empt any official launching or announcement to be made by the South Korea-based company.

The report, however, was still able to take note of the specs before these were deleted on Letstango. The smartphone, being a mini variant of the S6, has a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, it is powered by a hexa-core 1.8 GHz Qualcomm processor, possibly the coveted Snapdragon 808, paired with an Adreno 418 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

The device packs a powerful main camera with 15-megapixel, while its front camera is a 5-megapixel shooter. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, A-GPS, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Beidou, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. On the software side, it is pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Internal storage is available at 16 GB, but there is no indication if it is expandable via microSD. A non-removable battery powers the device, but its capacity is not detailed.

The phone is pictured in a Dark Blue color variant. According to the report, it also offers fingerprint scanner support that is PayPal and Samsung Pay-certified. It will also have Qi wireless charging, S Voice natural language commands, air gestures and apps that will allow users to edit documents.

Samsung has yet to confirm if there is indeed a Galaxy S6 Mini to be unveiled, as well as when and where it will be released.
