Samsung Galaxy Tab E 7.0 Update: Leaked Specs Include 1.5 GB of RAM, 2MP Camera
It's no secret that Samsung is gearing up to release a new tablet soon. According to Phones Review, the device was spotted at the FCC for certification purposes, which indicates that it may be nearing its release date already. Samsung already released the Galaxy Tab E 8.0 and Tab E 9.7 and this time, it's the 7-inch variant's time to shine.
A different report from Phones Review said that the official Samsung Galaxy Tab E 7.0 images and full specs were detailed on the company's Mexico website. There is no detail though on when it might arrive. It was revealed that it comes with the model number SM-T280 and SM-T285 for a 4G LTE version. Based on Samsung Mexico's website, the device has a dimension measurement of 193.4mm x 116.4mm x 9.7mm. It will have a 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution.
The other reports say that the device will be powered under the hood with a 1.3 GHz Spreadtrum SC8830 processor together with Mali-400 MP2 graphics. Softpedia noted that it hasn't been revealed yet how many cores it will be equipped with. But it did mention that it will have 1.5 GB of RAM. Its built-in memory storage space is 8 GB, which can be further expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card slot.
The rumored tablet is also said to offer 4G LTE support. As for the camera specs, reports say it will sport a 5-megapixel rear camera while the front will have a 0.3-megapixel front facing snapper. There's no word yet on the battery but it is said to be a non-removable type. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Mobile Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, and Wi-Fi.
Tech Times noted that the 7-inch tablet will have the same features as the 9.6-inch tablet but until Samsung makes the official announcement regarding the Galaxy Tab E 7.0, reports should be taken with a pinch of salt.
