San Francisco Giants vs Kansas City Royals Live Stream: Watch World Series 2014 Game 2 Online (Fox TV Details, Full Schedule)

The San Francisco Giants will play the Kansas City Royals in Game 2 of the World Series 2014 on Wednesday night, with the Giants looking to consolidate their excellent work in Game 1 with a second straight win. The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox network, or online through MLB.com live stream (details below).

If the Giants can win again tonight they would take a 2-0 lead as the series goes back to San Francisco for Games 3 through 5, and it would take a brave person to believe the Giants would let such a position slip through their grasp.

The Royals though will take heart in the fact that in 1985 - the last time they were in a World Series - they also had their backs to the wall. In that series they actually went 0-2 down before storming back to claim the title.

However, this is not the same team, and this is the San Francisco Giants we are talking about in 2014, and the Royals certainly won't be wanting to lose again tonight.

Royals manager Ned Yost has said, "No doubt, we knew this series was going to be a battle, too. We didn't expect to come in here and sweep the San Francisco Giants. We knew that this was a series that was going to go deep."

Meanwhile, catcher Buster Posey has said ahead of the game: "There's a certain way this team goes about playing the game that's special and that has to be recognized at this point in time, when you've advanced this far and beaten the great teams that we've been fortunate enough to beat to get here. We do play as a band of brothers, so to speak -- a unit."

The Giants will be looking to take a 2-0 lead with another win today. If they can gain victory tonight then they would be massive favorites to win the World Series. Overall out of the 52 teams that have gone 2-0 up in a World Series, 41 of them have gone on to win. That means if the Giants win tonight they would look to have about an 80 percent chance of winning out the series.

However, the Royals will be going all out tonight to put things right after last night's blow out, and they will accept nothing else than a win to pull the series back to 1-1.
