'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Teaser Reveals Gladiators, Olivia To Return A Changed Woman?

Only a few days left before fans will be seeing the American political thriller TV series "Scandal" again on the small screen for the second half of its fifth season. According to Christian Today, there's going to be a six-month time jump when the show returns.

And with that, major changes are expected to happen in Olivia Pope's (Kerry Washington) life especially after the events that took place in the lives of the people in the White House. Her relationship with President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) has also turned her into a different woman because of the trials and obstacles along the way.

Washington shared during the Television Critics Association press tour that Olivia has changed a lot after her relationship with the president was outed to the public. Her decision of having an abortion will also create an impact on her. And whether she will or will not tell Fitz about it is still to be known.

"What happened at the end of the winter finale is a huge decision for her, and she's a different woman because of it," said Washington, according to the report.

The promo trailer released also showed Olivia and her team, Gladiators, together and they are sending a message that they are coming back fiercer than ever. As seen on the video, Olivia sets aside her signature white hat and dons a red trench coat—pretty much suggesting that people will definitely be seeing a different Olivia. Huck (Guillermo Diaz), Quinn (Katie Lowes) and Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.) are also seen along with her. The 30-second teaser ended with the words, "We're back in business" which means that the team will be handling a slew of new cases.

Meanwhile, Fitz will be feeling the opposite about himself once the show returns. Goldwyn revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that his character will feel alone without Olivia, and even without Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry).

How will things turn out for him and Olivia? Fans will have to watch out for "Scandal" season 5 episode 10 which will air on Feb. 11 on ABC.
