Sherri Shepherd will reportedly use a $20,000 bank withdrawal as evidence that her estranged husband defrauded her into signing a surrogate baby agreement.

In recent weeks "The View" co-host has been at the center of a scandal amid claims that she wants nothing to do with a newborn baby born by a surrogate. Lamar Sally, who separated from Shepherd in May, has reportedly accused the comedian of abandoning the surrogate; however, sources insist there is more to the story.

Sally, whose sperm was used to conceive the surrogate baby (Shepherd's egg was not used), reportedly stole $20,000 from a joint bank account he shares with the media personality, and she intends to use this as evidence that he was purely financially motivated when he allegedly talked her into signing the surrogate agreement.

Shepherd, who has a 9-year-old son from her first marriage, previously agreed to be the mother of the surrogate baby; however, her May separation from Sally has complicated matters. She reportedly thinks he defrauded her into signing the surrogate contract even though he supposedly wanted out of the marriage at the time, simply because he wanted child support. The $20,000 withdrawal will reportedly be used as key evidence in court.

Sally, who was married to Shepherd for more than two years is said to be in the process of drafting legal documents to prevent the Christian mother-of-one from backing out of their agreement. He reportedly wants custody of the newborn baby and has requested that Shepherd have "reasonable" visitation rights. In addition to wanting custody, Sally is asking for spousal support and the cost of his attorney fees.

"It's still unclear what's going on," Sally previously told People.com of the surrogate baby's custody arrangement.

On Sunday, a frustrated Shepherd shared a cryptic message on social networking site Twitter which appeared to be aimed at her ex.

"I get along w everyone except Unnamed Source & his kids, Personal Rep and Anonymous Source. Trashiest neighbors I've ever had ##leavemebe," she tweeted Sunday.

She also shared an inspiring Biblical Scripture with her 698,000 followers: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 relates to facing hardships.

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed," the tweet read.

Shepherd reportedly filed for divorce from Sally in the state of New Jersey where courts generally don't recognize surrogate agreements. Sally filed in California, where courts are said to be more open to these situations.

Shepherd announced her departure from ABC's "The View" back in June and is now gearing up for her Sept. 9 Broadway debut as the evil stepmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."

Shepherd declined to comment on the allegations.
