Singer Attacked in Houston: La Mafia's Oscar De La Rosa Loses 2 Teeth in Violent Attack (VIDEO)

A singer has been attacked in Houston outside a night club, according to reports this week.

The lead singer of Grammy-winning Tejano group La Mafia was reportedly attacked outside of a Houston club in an unprovoked attack. According to reports, Oscar De La Rosa suffered a head injury during the incident.

Band co-founder Armando Lichtenberger Jr. has reported that De La Rosa and his driver were knocked unconscious by a stranger who attacked them on Monday morning.

Lichtenberger added that De La Rosa has since been able to go home and is now resting at his Houston home on Tuesday.

Although no suspect has been identified yet, Houston police are reportedly looking for a man who was thrown out of the club and then became violent.

The singer reportedly suffered cuts on his face, an injury to his eye, and also lost two teeth in the beating.

La Mafia has not yet confirmed whether it will cancel any future performance dates, but is reportedly considering its next action.

La Mafia was formed in 1980 in Houston, and in 2006 won a Grammy for the album, "Nuevamente."
