Snapchat Users React to Hotdog Filter Being Taken Down; Senator Orrin Hatch Pays Tribute to Filter

Snapchat users are sad that the video messaging app took out one of their most popular filters, the dancing hotdog with headphones. Meanwhile, Senator Orrin Hatch paid tribute to the Snapchat filter.

When Snapchat users realized that their favorite headphone-wearing dancing hotdog emoji had been taken down from the app, they were upset and took to Twitter how they really felt about it.

One of the app users said that the dancing hotdog was the only reason he used Snapchat.

"I'm legit upset that the dancing hot dog has apparently been removed from Snapchat. I have no reason to use the app now," Twitter user @jrdizon said in his post.

Another even ranked the loss of the dancing hotdog as one of the tragedies that happened this year.

"I woke up to find that snapchat got rid of the dancing hot dog and out of all the disasters 2017 has put me through this is by far the worst," said Twitter user @rapunzelvangogh.

She even drew up the dancing hotdog just to make up for her loss, addressing the Tweet to Snapchat's account.

Meanwhile, another Snapchat user, @Travishcott, made fun of one of the app's new filters — an inflatable dancer — and demanded to "bring back the dancing hot dog."

Soon enough, Senator Hatch caught up with the users' dismay over the loss of the dancing hotdog filter and also chimed in on the Tweets.

"He will be missed. We will always be grateful for his service as a brand ambassador for Utah's pork industry," Hatch said in a Tweet, ending it with a hotdog emoji.

The senator even posted a short clip of himself with the breakdancing hotdog emoji, adding that he may rest in peace.

Snapchat is known to reshuffle and to bring back some of the old filters from time to time. Maybe, soon, once they realize that it is one of the most favorite filters of their users, Snapchat will bring back the dancing hotdog.
