SNES Classic Mini Updates: Console Confirmed to be Available at Toys R Us

Those who have attempted to place a pre-order on the highly anticipated SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System) Mini Classic and failed to do so need not worry as Toys R Us has announced that they will be selling the reproduced iconic gaming console.

Despite announcing earlier this week that it will be filing for bankruptcy, a representative of Toys R Us has confirmed that it will be selling the SNES Classic Mini when it is released on Sept. 29. Hence, those who attempted and failed several times to place their pre-orders on the highly anticipated console still have a good chance to bring home a piece of their childhood as none of the stocks of the giant toy retailer has been pre-ordered.

"Stores will open at normal time and have limited inventory of the console, so we encourage customers to get in line before doors open on Friday morning for the chance to scoop up this hot item," the Toys R Us representative said in an interview.

While it's true that none of the stocks of the SNES Classic Mini at Toys R Us has been reserved for pre-orders, it is still no guarantee that one can go home the revived console. After all, with many failing to secure a pre-order, many are expected to line up in Toys R Us stores on Sept. 29.

Without question, stocks of SNES sell like hotcakes in a matter of minutes after they are made available online. For instance, according to reports, while Tesco Direct made the gaming console available for pre-order again recently, all the stocks were sold out in just a matter of 20 minutes.

Whether the stocks of Toys R Us will be enough to meet the demand of the highly anticipated gaming console classic, no one can really tell for now. However, with Nintendo promising that it plans to sell the SNES Classic Mini until 2018, gamers can only hope there will be enough units for everybody who wish to own a part of their past.
