Sony Xperia Z3v vs Samsung Galaxy S5 Active: Comparison of Specs, Features

Even the most expensive, most spec-heavy smartphone can be a magnet for disaster. One careless gesture can send it flying across the room and cause it to crack in several pieces. A playful toddler, curious to see if the device could float, could take it for a spin in the tub or a swish in the toilet. Even everyday use can cause some wear and tear on a phone, and sometimes, the only solution is to get a sturdier phone that could withstand accidental drops, intentional dips in liquid and the like.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active and the Sony Xperia Z3v are great examples of durable and water resistant phones. Here, we compare the two handsets.

 Design:
The Xperia Z3v's design is a throwback to earlier Xperia models, but overall it's an excellent phone, if you don't mind the dated design. It has black glass on both sides, and has a squared-off shape. It's water resistant for up to 1.5 meters of submersion for 30 minutes. The device measures 5.85 x 2.89 x 0.35 inches and weighs 6.02 ounces. It's available in black and white.
