Sony Xperia Z4 Rumors, Specs, Release Date: Upcoming Android Flagship Disguised Under New Name Outside Japan?
Just last week, Sony finally but quietly announced its brand new flagship, the Sony Xperia Z4, in Japan. Unfortunately, fans were immediately disappointed when they found out the device will only be available on Sony's home market.
However, just a few hours later, a rumor broke out that the manufacturer is planning to launch an international version for its latest flagship.
Now, a report from Phone Arena claims that the new Xperia Z4 handset could actually arrive in international markets, but under a different brand name.
In the report, an accessory specially made for the Sony Xperia Z4 is said to be compatible to two devices, namely the Xperia Z4, and a handset named Xperia Z3+.
The report speculated that the two devices could have minimal differences in both specs and dimensions.
Last year, the Japanese manufacturer unveiled the Xperia Z3, which paraded almost the same specs of its predecessor, the Xperia Z2. Sony could be doing the same thing with the Xperia Z4 and the Z3+.
In case you missed the unveiling last week, the Xperia Z4 boasts a 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, an octa-core CPU running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810, and a 3GB RAM.
Other specs include a 20.7MP primary camera at the back and a 5MP front shooter, 32GB of built-in memory, a microSD card slot, 2,930mAh battery, and dust and water resistance.
