Square Enix Stream to Unveil New Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Footage
Square Enix's next Final Fantasy title, "Final Fantasy XV" still has no release date but it is definitely going to be released for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. As the numbering dictates, it is the fifteenth main title in the series and is set in a different style and atmosphere than other Final Fantasy games.
The game started development before its announcement in May 2006 where it was initially revealed under the title "Final Fantasy Versus XIII." It's long development time and lack of updates had birthed rumors concerning its possible cancellation. Eventually it was renamed and switched from the Playstation 3 to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Only recently, the direction was switched from Tetsuya Nomura – who designed characters and contributed to the game's concept and story – to Hajime Tabata, who co-directed the game before. Nomura had been given the responsibility of directing another of Square Enix's game "Kingdom Hearts 3."
Meanwhile, Square Enix will be holding another live stream which will reveal more news and footage from "Final Fantasy XV" and "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" today. Streaming will start 8 p.m. Japan time.
For the stream, director of both games Hajime Tabata will be talking about the updates of both games. Other guests will include staff from the development team. The stream will be in Japanese however with no English subtitles. An English version of the stream will probably come out in a few weeks.
