'Star Wars: Episode 8' News: Filming Begins According to John Boyega
Even though the latest installment of the "Star Wars" series was just released a couple of months ago, it was reported that filming of "Star Wars: Episode 8" is already about to begin.
One of the film's stars recently shared the exciting news regarding the start of production. John Boyega, who plays the role of Finn, was recently awarded during the BAFTAs. He received an award fo EE's Rising Star of 2015.
After receiving the award, he was able to share some details about "Star Wars: Episode 8." He revealed that the filming for the new installment will begin soon. He said, "I'm going to be honest with you, I'm running on fumes here. I start work tomorrow, I have a 6am pickup. I'm due to be in the car and go straight to do the whole Star Wars stuff again, so tomorrow is my first day."
This was not the first time the actor shared some details about the upcoming film. According to a previous interview with Vogue, he explained that the upcoming film will explore darker themes compared to its predecessor.
In addition, he recently spoke to Short List about his knowledge for "Star Wars: Episode 8." When asked about what he really wants to know regarding the story of the new film, he stated, "The biggest thing I want to know? I know already!"
While he revealed his bountiful knowledge for the upcoming storyline, the actor unfortunately did not reveal much about what will happen in "Star Wars: Episode 8."
In the meantime, fans have been concocting their own theories on what will happen in the upcoming installment. There are speculations that some iconic characters could be returning to the franchise. However, this has yet to be confirmed.
With that, fans will just have to wait for "Star Wars: Episode 8" to release, which will be on Dec. 15, 2017.
