Star Wars Land Update: Plans for Laser System to Project Ships

New reports have recently emerged regarding the developments in Disneyland's upcoming "Star Wars Land" and one of the updates reveal that the team is working on a complicated laser system that will project objects in the sky for visitors to further have a feel of the "Star Wars" universe.

According to Slash Film, there is a lot of buzz around the theme park's development and it appears that a laser system is in the works. The system is said to project ship-like objects in the sky, in lieu for real-time ships that could take up too much space in the area.

The outlet further says Marvel's spot in Disneyland, which is currently lying above the Star Wars Launch Bay, is now being removed. Rumor has it that the said space will probably be dedicated to additional content from the franchise or a preview place for those who would like to know firsthand what Star Wars Land offers before entering the realm.

Other rumors suggest that visual elements from the park will only be seen once visitors enter a narrow tunnel from Critter Country. From the tunnel, towering buildings can be seen with additional X-Wings backdrops to complete the Star Wars theme.

As for fans who love alcoholic beverages while travelling through time, a cantina in the park will be dedicated for the purpose of serving alcohol and other alcohol-based drinks.

Last month, pieces of concept art were shown during ABC's preview of "The Wonderful World of Disney: Disneyland 60." While there were no details revealed about construction's development back then, fans were able to get a glimpse of the plans set for the recreational area.

Harrison Ford's presentation showed huge space ships, Stormtroopers from the franchise, and a closer look at the colorful world of Queen Amidala.

It is yet to be announced when the theme park will open and what exactly will be seen once Star Wars Land opens but it is expected that Disneyland will stay faithful to the elements that the franchise was known for over the past decades.
