'Suicide Squad' News: Harley Quinn Featured in New Posters

As fans prepare for the coming of the most unlikely superhero team in the entire universe, new posters have been released online and they're not just your usual promo art.

According to Cosmic Book News, two new "Suicide Squad" posters have been released, but instead of the entire team of suicidal former villains, the images only point to the most beautiful villain-turned-hero that has ever set foot on earth: Harley Quinn.

One of the photos shows Quinn holding her famed bat with a sly smile on her face — one that says a psycho is on the way to save the world and the aftermath won't look so good. The second image shows other members of the team with the tag line "In Squad We Trust." While some other villains in the team are also in the poster, Quinn is most especially highlighted as she is in the middle and she has the most colorful suit.

Unlike other heroes that the world loves, the "Suicide Squad" features villains who are forced to go on a mission to save the world in exchange of something they would probably never get in their entire lifetime behind bars: freedom.

Quinn is already becoming the most likable character (well, aside from Jared Leto's Joker) not only because she's famous for being the Joker's sidekick, but because in the trailers, she seems to finally have her own identity.

Quinn is referred to by many comic book lovers as the Joker's girlfriend, and while it is unclear if the upcoming David Ayer movie will feature her love story with Batman's biggest rival, it would be interesting to get a clearer view of her backstory.

As the trailers depict, Margot Robbie has successfully pulled off her role as Quinn and fans are looking forward to more of her psychotic comments and weird moves that might make trouble for other members of the team.

"Suicide Squad" hits the big screens on Aug. 5.
