'Suits' Season 5 Episode 14 Plot News: Gibbs Gives Donna a Hard Time
The biggest trial in this season of "Suits" will finally begin, and spoilers reveal that Attorney Gibbs will unexpectedly summon Donna to the witness stand.
As fans already know, Mike (Patrick J. Adams) has sort of forced Trevor (Tom Lipinski) to save him during trial. Trevor can't really escape the fact that Mike has stuck with him through thick and thin, and many times, the latter had to flip the tables on himself just to save his friend and his secrets. This time, Trevor can finally pay his friend back by lying in court. Although it is a risky move and he may end up behind bars like Mike, it seems as if he will stick by his promise to speak in favor of Mike.
While fans can sigh a little in relief for Trevor's testimony, episode 14 of season 5 will prove to be a nerve-wracking moment for the accused. This is after Assistant U.S. Attorney Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope) calls Donna (Sarah Rafferty) to the witness stand.
Donna is obviously scared and nervous. It has always been expected that the authorities will bust Mike's connections open and will bring in Trevor. However, Donna's sudden arrival in court is something that viewers never expected. It is unclear if she will continue to insist that Mike is innocent, but since she's scared of possibly being jailed, she could snap out of sanity and reveal Mike's secrets.
The synopsis for episode 14 titled "Self Defense" reveals that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Mike will decide to make a desperate move so they can win the case. It has yet to be revealed what strategy the duo will make, but fans can expect a lot of drama, thrill, and a bucket of sweat in the upcoming episode.
While Donna believes that Harvey will straighten things out in the end, she will still be a nervous wreck at the witness stand and it is speculated that her messed-up testimony may put Mike's trial on the edge.
Episode 14 of "Suits" season 5 will air Wednesday, Feb. 17, on the U.S.A Network.
