Super Smash Bros 4 DLC Characters Include Mewtwo, Release Date is Spring 2015
Nintendo's "Super Smash Bros. 4 for Wii U" is only a week away from release in the U.K. (already out in the U.S.) and fans of the franchise are excited to get a copy and play eight-player brawl with seven other friends. It has also been cleared that Mewtwo, a legendary Pokemon, will be made a DLC and not an exclusive character to those who own the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game – as previously thought.
Last month, Nintendo announced the return of the legendary Pokemon to the Super Smash Bros franchise in both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game. Nintendo had mentioned that players can get Mewtwo if they register both their Wii U and 3DS versions of the game under the same name.
Fans who only wanted to have the game in one console were both disappointed and somewhat enraged that they would also have to purchase both versions in order to get Mewtwo. That wouldn't be the case however as the game company revealed recently that the Pokemon will be available as a DLC in Spring of 2015.
For those who have copies for both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game can register those to get the Mewtwo character for free and includes an exclusive Super Smash Bros. soundtrack which includes 72 tracks from the game.
Those who possess both versions of the game however, must register their games before January 13 in the US and by January 20 in EU in order to get the soundtrack. For the Mewtwo DLC, both games must be registered before March 31.
