'Super Smash Bros. 4' DLC: Nintendo Excludes Shovel Night from Character List
The next "Super Smash Bros. 4" DLC will not feature Shovel Night among the new characters, so fans are now eager to know who will be included in the final character roster.
Earlier, there were speculations about Shovel Knight being one of the new characters to be featured in the next "Super Smash Bros. 4," but the character creator later on debunked the rumors. After the voting period for the characters ended last month, there is still no word on the winners, so fans are still left hanging, according to Yibada.
There are also reports saying Nintendo will include characters from third-party games in the next "Super Smash Bros. 4" DLC character tier, which will feature at least 50 heroes from various video games. Microsoft has already gained permission from Nintendo to incorporate Banjo-Kazooie in the said game, the report relays.
During the promo period, fans voted for various characters including Dixie Kong and King K. Rool from "Donkey Kong Country," Isaac from "Golden Sun," Ridley from "Metroid's," and other heroes. Also being considered are Snake from "Metal Gear Solid" and Wolf O'Donnell from "Star Fox," Parent Herald details.
Meanwhile, "Super Smash Bros. 4" fans are looking forward to bundle sales as Black Friday approaches. Rumor has it that the game will be bundled with a Wii U console during the biggest sale of the year, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Every year since the official release of the Wii U, Nintendo has been promoting Mario games bundled with the gaming console. In 2012, it was "Nintend Land," then "New Super Mario Bros. U" the following year. Other bundles released in the past include "Mario Kart 8," "Super Mario World 3D," "Splatoon," and "Super Mario Maker."
So far, "Super Smash Bros. 4" still has not been bundled with the Wii U console. Fans will have to wait and see if the upcoming Black Friday will mark the first time that the big game and the console will finally be sold together.
