'Supernatural' season 11 news, cast, spoilers: Brothers bond strengthen as they face new threat, and a new face will be coming in
Talking about fan bases, the show "Supernatural" has definitely one of the strongest out there. Going into its 11th year, the brothers' bond has definitely transcended beyond usual TV time. So, many fans continuously wonder what the boys will be bringing every season. It isn't news that the brothers will take on a threat so ancient that it predates even the Angels, but the question that follows is how it will affect the Winchesters' relationship.
Comic Book Resources reports that Supernatural showrunners Jeremy Carver and Andrew Dabb recently spoke in Comic-Con International in San Diego about the rumor surrounding the season's plot lines. Dabb talked about how the season will start off having the boys "on the same page." Not unusual for the Winchesters to take responsibility of the various "evil" that has been plaguing the earth every season, it would be the same once more as they are banded by their intent to save as much as they can. Dabb is quoted saying, "Sam and Dean are suddenly on the same page. Everybody wants the same thing, but their approach may be a little different. That's where I think you'll see bumps in the road."
Furthermore, Carver and Dabb were also asked about the new character that may be causing trouble this season. The character's name is Amara, who will be connected to the Darkness, and her unfamiliarity with the modern-day world is what will make her stand out. Dabb describes how Amara came to be and how she adjusts to her new surroundings. He explains, "She has been locked away since the dawn of creation. She has a very interesting point of view with how she approaches everything."

Darkness is far beyond what the Winchesters had faced before. Not being in any physical form, and rather ethereal, it will be exciting to see how they will approach the problems, and eventually defeat them. Furthermore, the Darkness is supposedly, in some way, connected to the different characters of the series, explaining the impact it has on all supernatural beings.
The 7th season of Supernatural will be returning on Oct. 7 on The CW.
