'Supernatural' Season 11 News, Spoilers: Stars Dish On How They Want Series To End
"Supernatural," which has just been given the green light for a 12th season, won't be going off the air for quite a while, but its stars, Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) and Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester), already know how they want the series to conclude.
In March, The CW announced that it had renewed each of its current series, including "Supernatural," which will mark a major milestone with its 250th episode in season 12.
Ackles and Padalecki, who have co-starred in the popular fantasy/horror series since 2005, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how they see the brothers saying goodbye to their avid fans.

"If you'd asked me season 1, I would've thought that it would've been the apocalypse," Ackles said. "But then again, you can't end the TV show with the worst thing happening."
He added, "I always thought Dean would make the ultimate sacrifice for his brother. I guess if I had to choose something, that's probably what I would choose."
Padalecki, who plays Ackles' younger brother Sam, said that he has always envisioned the boys in the style of "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (1969). According to the actor, the ending would leave the brothers' fates in question but the story will conclude in such a way that fans will be assured that the Winchesters went out "in a blaze of glory."
"I don't think we should see the boys die or live, we should wonder," he told EW.
But no matter how the series wraps up the Winchester boys' story, the most important part, according to Padalecki, is that the brothers will continue fighting.
"As long as they're alive, they're not going to stop fighting," he said. "We're going to have to see them continue to do good together."
In next Wednesday's episode, titled "Hell's Angel," Lucifer (Misha Collins) returns home and attempts to assert himself back into heaven as Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) tells the brothers that they need to defeat Amara (Emily Swallow).
"Supernatural" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
