'Supernatural' Season 13 Episode 5 Spoilers: Brothers to Spend Quality Time Together; Familiar Faces Return
On episode 5, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will go on a case with just the two of them, grabbing the opportunity to spend quality time together. Meanwhile, a couple of familiar faces return to the Winchesters' lives.
On the next episode of "Supernatural" season 13, titled "Advanced Thanatology," brothers Sam and Dean will bond over a case by working only with each other.
As seen from the episode 5 promo, Sam initiates the idea of spending quality time with Dean on their new case.
"When's the last time we worked a case, just you and me?" Sam says to Dean. However, Dean grows suspicious of Sam's real intentions for their so-called quality time.
When Dean confronts Sam about why he's acting weird, he only responds with "I'm just trying to be nice."
According to the episode 5 listing on The Futon Critic, the Winchesters will be working on a case that involves the restless spirit of a demented doctor. While working on this case, someone from their past reappears.
The two will receive help from Billie (Lisa Berry) in solving their case. However, as the listing suggests, there will be something different about Billie's return.
Other than Billie, another major person in the Winchesters' lives will also return. Castiel (Misha Collins) is revived in episode 5 and will find a way to return to the Winchesters. Given that the fallen angel died in season 12, it is anticipated that episode 5 will provide an explanation to how Castiel was able to come back alive.
Sam and Dean have been having a hard time dealing with the loss of Castiel, along with their mother Mary (Samantha Smith) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard). But now that Castiel has come back, maybe it's time the Winchester brothers feel good for the first time since that tragedy.
New episodes of "Supernatural" season 13 air every Thursday night at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
