'Teen Mom 2' News: Leah Messer Admits Having Suicidal Thoughts in the Past

"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer has admitted that she once had suicidal thoughts but has now used her bad experiences to promote positive change.

This week's episode of "Teen Mom 2" had Messer revealing in a motivational speaking engagement that she once entertained the idea of taking her own life. Messer, who is now exploring the world of being a motivational speaker, told her audience the struggles she had in the past.

While her childhood was not the best, Messer said that having to take care of two young kids added to her life issues back then. Despite striving to be the best mother to her kids at that time, she was not sure if she was doing the right thing. This, according to the "Teen Mom 2" star, pushed her to the point of entertaining the thought of killing herself.

"I've been pushed down to the ground a couple of times and then stomped on and ran over. I felt suicidal at one point. I didn't want to be alive," Messer said.

However, it is apparent that the said chapter in Messer's life is a thing of the past now. Admitting that she now knows her self worth and how to take things under her control, the "Teen Mom 2" star now continues to work on inspiring people to make a positive change.

"I just want to make a difference, that's my passion," she said.

In the said speaking engagement featured on "Teen Mom 2," Messer instructed her audience to jot down their fears and burn the paper where they wrote whatever that they fear as a symbolic act of letting go. According to Messer, people must let go of fear and use their power within instead.

"Anytime you think of it, tell yourselves, 'I let it go. I let that fear go. I'm not going to fear failure. I'm not going to fear rejection...' Stand in your own power every single day," Messer said.
