'Teen Mom 2' Season 5B Confirmed, Trailer Released (VIDEO)

It's the news that "Teen Mom 2" fans have been waiting for: confirmation that the fifth season will continue this summer. The show will continue following the lives of Leah Calvert, Chelsea Houska, Jenelle Evans, and Kailyn Lowry and their families.

For Leah, it's been a season filled with revelations about daughter Ali's medical condition. The 4-year-old was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy earlier this year and now the family is coping with what exactly that means for the little girl as well as the rest of the family. One big change is the addition of Ali's wheelchair. In the preview, Leah can be seen clearly distressed about her family's financial situation as a result of all of Ali's medical bills.

Chelsea is clearly concerned with her ex-boyfriend Adam Lind's parenting skills. Adam has received another DUI and Chelsea, annoyed and concerned for her daughter's safety when she's with Adam, decides to take him to court. Adam insists that his drinking has nothing to do with his ability to parent Aubree, but Chelsea thinks otherwise and the two battle it out.

Kailyn is dealing with pressure of her own as she raises two young boys and adjusts to married life. Things apparently get so intense that she contacts her mother, with whom she has had a very turbulent relationship, for support. A viewer can see Kailyn arguing with husband Javi, who says that he wants to bond with Isaac, Kailyn's child with another man. That idea doesn't sit well with the mother.

Meanwhile, Jenelle Evans' second pregnancy takes plenty of attention. Viewers will get to see the pregnancy develop and Jenelle learn that she is having another baby boy. Of course, Jenelle's story would not be complete without plenty of drama, including trouble with the law and an argument with her mother, Barbara.

The popular series returns to MTV on Wednesday, July 16.
