Real Housewives of New Jersey News: Teresa Giudice's First Day in Prison
On Monday morning, "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice reported to prison to serve her 15-month sentence for bank fraud.
Before Giudice reported to prison, a source from RadarOnline said that the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury, Connecticut staff was reminded not to take photos of the reality star.
"Staffers were reminded that their personal cell phones aren't allowed to be used during work hours, and no pictures of Teresa or any other inmates could be taken," said the source. "Several prison employees have told their bosses they have been approached by media outlets offering big money for pictures of Teresa behind bars."
The source goes on to say that the prison has very strict laws about inmate privacy, and that if any employee was caught taking a picture of Giudice, immediate action will be taken, which could lead to termination.
The staffers were reportedly very respectful when Giudice surrendered on Monday.
"She didn't get any special treatment, but wasn't singled out because of any celebrity status. She was very grateful for that," said the insider.
The website also details what Giudice ate on her first day in jail. Breakfast reportedly consisted of a fresh orange, hot oatmeal, three slices of bread, a margarine pat, two packages of jelly, and two cups of skim milk.
For lunch, the reality star reportedly had beans and franks, potatoes, two mustard packets, three slices of bread, two margarine pats, a fresh apple, and a beverage. Her dinner consisted of a fish fillet, tomato sauce, white rice, lima beans, two tartar sauce packets, three slices of bread, two margarine packets, a fresh apple, and a beverage.
Another source from RadarOnline said that Giudice's first day most likely included a thorough strip search and a psychological assessment.
