Teresa Giudice's Prison Memoir Officially Out
There is a lot of positivity inside the home of Teresa and Joe Giudice as the family's matriarch has not only been confirmed to join the cast of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 7, but she has also officially released her prison memoir.
Although some details about the book were revealed earlier, fans can finally dig deeper into the experiences that Teresa went through while completing her 11-month sentence. According to People, one of the most spectacular revelations that "Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again" detailed was that of her prison room being called the "Boom Boom Room."
The reality star expected that there would be a lot of new things to see and experience behind bars but she was shocked to witness nightly intimate moments between her roommates.
Since the Danbury prison was the same location where Piper Kerman and Lauryn Hill of "Orange Is the New Black" became known for, it isn't new to some fans that lesbian sessions are going on inside. However, Teresa said she had never watched the series so she was shocked at first but gradually got used to the scene.
The 43-year-old reality star also shared in her book how she went through her first strip search. The Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut had some procedures that she wasn't prepared for. She was asked to squat and cough during the session — a situation that fans probably never thought of seeing her in.
Prison life is very different from the normal lives that people live in freedom and according to the "RHONJ" star, she was introduced to some of the most unlikely products that were used by the inmates.
Maxi pads weren't just used as they should be. The pads can actually be used to remove makeup and can also be used to clean the floor. "I laughed the first time I wiped down the floor and my locker with a maxi pad. I couldn't help but think, if only everyone could see me now," she wrote.
Teresa will be back for season 7 of "RHONJ" and it is expected that she will be sharing a lot of the experiences she had during her time behind bars.
