'The 100' Season 3 Episode 9 Spoilers: Series Executive Dishes Details on 'Stealing Fire'
Fans of The CW's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The 100" are still reeling over the death of Alycia Debnam-Carey's fan-favorite character, Lexa. But aside from that tragic end, viewers are also anticipating for some of the exciting developments to unravel as Season 3 resumes.
It would be understandable for Clarke (Eliza Taylor) if she gets to the sideline given the despair she felt after losing her love interest. But according to executive producer Jason Rothenberg, the show's protagonist will chose to set aside her personal agony and continue to carry out her duties for her people.
The EP told TVInsider that Clarke will figure out ways to block the pain in the upcoming 9th episode titled "Stealing Fire." Moreover, he dished out that the next hour of the show will pick up following the aftermath of Lexa's death.
"We know that certain characters are in jail, we come back to Polis and we pick up in the aftermath of Lexa's death and we begin to understand what the conclave is all about. Let's just say things unfold from there…" the series executive said.
As for the main character, Rothenberg teased that "we begin to see Clarke doing what Clarke does, which is compartmentalizing and finding a way to suck down her pain and be our hero and try and save her people yet again."
He further explained that Clarke's priority now is to find out if they can still count on the new commander's loyalty rather than grieve at length for Lexa's passing.
"She's going to suck it up and try to move on and do what she has to do to save her people," Rothenberg emphasized.
Additional information coming from The Futon Critic says that Clarke will stumble upon a shocking truth while Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) will be forced to come up with a decision that could bring some devastating consequences. Meanwhile, Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and Abby (Paige Turco) "share a moment."
"The 100" Season 3 returns this Thursday, Mar. 31 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
