'The Affair' Season 3 Rumors: Will Noah Leave Alison for Good?

Season 3 of "The Affair" is in the works, and with the painful finale that led many to question Alison's (Ruth Wilson) soul, it only means that the upcoming season will be filled with drama and probably a reconciliation.

In the last episode of season 2, Noah (Dominic West) took his guilt to the next level when he admitted in court that he was behind the wheel on the night that Scotty (Colin Donnell) was killed. Fans know that he wasn't the one driving since it was Helen (Maura Tierney) who accidentally hit the drunk Scotty.

Fans will remember that everything started when the best-selling author discovered the truth behind Alison's pregnancy — he wasn't the father of his fiancée's baby. What's worse is Alison knew all along, but he led Noah to leave his family behind as he believed that he was the baby's true father.

Helen, who has always waited for Noah to come back, of course said "Yes" when Noah said he wanted to go home. At first it was Noah who drove the car but the two exchanged seats. When Helen took her eyes off the road for a bit, a drunk Scotty already got hit, with everyone else unknowing that Alison pushed him to the road.

It was a dark moment for Noah and Helen when it was time to get things straight in court. Noah took the blame for Helen — the person who was hurt the most during his affair with Alison. While it is unclear how things will go as Noah will face prison time in season 3, rumor has it that the vulnerable Helen will be by his side.

An amazing twist of events could also be possible if Alison decides to face the consequences of her sins. On the other hand, there is also the possibility that Helen will feel guilty and will turn herself in to exonerate Noah, knowing that she was behind the wheel that night.

To find out what's next for Alison, Helen, and Noah, watch "The Affair" season 3, which is expected to premiere this spring on Showtime.
